  1. I'm picking "The King's Speech" to take the top award myself, but otherwise, we are largely in agreement. I sure hope you are right about "Wasteland" taking Best Documentary, I found it very moving. Come tonight,we'll see what happens!

  2. I'm writing this shortly before the ceremony - sorry about your upcoming disappointment for "The Social Network", but it will be "The King's Speech" for Best Picture. But TKS will not win Best Cinematography; that will be "Inception", though it should be "True Grit".

We agree totally on Best Supporting Actor - it should be Rush, but it will be Bale. Inception will also pick up the technical awards you mention, including sound mixing.

If Fincher wins, what a shame he gets it for this film, given the superior work he turned in on "Fight Club" and "Zodiac"

  3. Well...that will teach me. Of course The King's Speech was going to win - once again my hope takes over my brain. Well done Pat and Tom, I know when I've been bested.

So I got 11 out of 24. Not Good. Not good at all. Told you I was bad at this.
